April 30, 2012

Our trip today took us from home to Twin Falls, Idaho - a distance of approximately 550 miles. Our weather was varied with mist, rain, sun, and even a hail storm. Temps ranged from 45 to 70. The most interesting sights in the Gorge from approximately Biggs Junction to Arlington were the huge wind turbines on both sides of the Columbia. They ran in long rows and seemed to turn very slowly.

At Huntington we turned our clocks ahead to Mountain Time. A little farther down the highway we stopped in Ontario for gasoline. We were happily surprised by the price for Chevron's regular gas -$3.75 per gallon, better than our $3.95 in Milwaukie before we left home this morning!
